I'm Maurisa, the woman behind the brand Kat Alyse, and I want to share a bit of our story. It all started with a dream and a sewing machine back in 2014. I was at a point in my life where the fashion industry's take on plus-size clothing just wasn't cutting it. So, with a little liquid courage and a lot of determination, I bought my first sewing machine. I was ready to shake things up.
From my own experiences, I know the struggles of finding fashionable clothing that is truly designed for a curvy body and most importantly, fits well. It's not just about the clothes, it's about the women wearing them and their lifestyles when trying to make shit happen.
Our muse? Well, it’s you! The woman who doesn't just step into a room; she owns it. You’re the woman who's carving out her path and inspiring others by being on fire. The one savoring high-end experiences, jet-setting across the globe, and igniting others while at it.
When designing our capsule collections, we always keep in mind how you wants to present yourself. We carefully select colors and fabrics that reflect your ambitious personality and lifestyle. Each piece is meticulously crafted, paying close attention to the details, fit, and tailoring guaranteeing that your external appearance reflects your internal confidence. This brand exists to support all that you do whether you're taking charge in a meeting or the life of the party.
So, why the name Kat Alyse? Well, it's a play on the word 'Catalyst.' I wanted a name that spoke to the woman who's making things happen, the leader in her community or the innovator at work. It had to be chic, unique, and full of meaning. And so, Kat Alyse was born. A name that represents your persona of strength, drive, and perseverance.
As for me? For now, I'm still the IT expert by day, apparel brand founder by night, and I pour my dual expertise into every part of this passion project, ensuring that our clothing isn't just beautiful but smart.
